Animal reservoir: There is no current evidence that indicates the animal reservoir for S. Ruiru. Serovar Ruiru were found in cattle, and turkey.
Geographical distribution: S. Ruiru is a very rare serovar, only a limited number of descriptions have been reported; specifically, one report of infection in sheep in England and two in Europe (imported soybean from Brazil and imported palm kernel expellers from Indonesia).
