Background: Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Korovi (antigenic formula 38:g,m,[s]:–) is a serovar of the O:38 (P) serogroup. This serotype was first identified in 1955 from the Belgian Congo, and has recently been isolated from cassava flour found in organic tahini (sesame paste) from Germany, made with raw material from Uganda.

Geographical distribution: Not clear
Outbreaks: S. Korovi has not been linked to outbreaks.
