I have done research on the previous linear flow dosers which were implemented in the previous plants. We have, as a team, decided on the physical setup of our non-linear doser. We have scrapped the pulley idea for accounting for the minor losses between the inlet tank and flocc tank, and instead decided to just use a doser arm with two nonlinear scales on it. The minor losses will be introduced via two different size orifices.
My responsibilities for next week will be sizing the orific of the rapid mix tube leading from the entrance tank to the flocculator channel.
