Beckie Robertson is a managing director specializing in early-stage investing
investing in medical devices at Versant Ventures. Before co-founding
Versant,
Robertson was a general partner at Institutional Venture PartnersPart¬ners.
In addition, through Longridge Business Advisors, she provides business
business advisory and board services for companies outside of her role at
at Versant. From 1994-1996, Robertson served as senior vice president at
at Chiron Diagnostic where she had responsibility for the $200 million
critical care business unit. Prior to joining Chiron, she was a co-founder
and vice president at Egis and held senior management positions in
operations and finance at Lifescan, a Johnson & Johnson Company. Robertson
Robertson also serves as chairman of the Children’s Health Council and is
is a member of Cornell’s Biomedical Engineering Advisory Board and Engineering
Engineering College Council and was recently elected to Cornell’s Board of
Trustees. She also serves s as a senior executiveinexecutive-in-
residence for Cornell’s
McGovern Center. Robertson holds a B.S. in
chemical engineering from
Cornell University.
