There are many options of Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) for both research labs and courses. At just Cornell, testing/ use of Lab Archives (CIT and campus), Dotmatics Studies Notebook Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) "One-Click" (Library and Chemistry), and Badger Lab Management System (Weill), as well as one known home-grown in a Chemistry research group.
