1. Announcements
- AEM class: Tom Ottaviano is looking for volunteers to assist students with their assignment. It's an opportunity to learn about business resources and work with students across the disciplines who are minoring in Business.
- Mann Instruction Coordinator - Life Sciences Librarian position posted.
- Legal Research Series offered by Law Library (March 25, April 1, April 8). Business could be a good topic to do in the Fall. Chris will ask HLM group.
- Chris Miller will represent PSEC Instruction at CD Week committee lightning round.
2. Reading Discussions
- Idea for a topic: teaching anxiety
- Idea from last discussion: librarians get together to help each other test out learning activities.
3. New PSEC Instruction Model
- Starts July 1
- Need 1 at large member, 1 or 2 year term
- Add new model to wiki
- Chair - if interested in serving as new chair, please contact Kaila or Thomas. We'll hold elections in May.
4. May Teaching Forum
- Amy, Gaby, Carissa, and Marsha volunteered to assist with planning
- Discussed what to call it - Seminar, Symposium, Workshop? (update: called it a Forum)
- Can we accommodate distance attendees? Yes, for the talk; no, for the charette
5. CTE
- CTE expressed interest for CUL to offer another session on information literacy at their faculty institute in May 22 & 23
- Chris discussed his conversations with CTE about them providing workshops for CUL instructors.
- This brought up a discussion of the LIPP program. Good materials were developed to help librarians partner and observe each other teach.
