Undergraduate Food Safety Studies at the University of Maryland*: Prospective undergraduate students interested in the discipline of Food Safety are encouraged to apply for the Food Food Science undergraduate program \[link: [http://nfsc.umd.edu/undergrad/foodScience/index.cfm|http://nfsc.umd.edu/undergrad/foodScience/index.cfm]\].  Currently, there is no Food Safety specific major at the University of Maryland. However, this program provides outstanding food safety training to students with a number of food safety, food microbiology, food quality, food processing, and epidemiology courses.
