Undergraduate Food Safety Studies at the University of Maryland*: Prospective undergraduate students interested in the discipline of Food Safety are encouraged to apply for the Food Food Science undergraduate program \[link: [http://nfsc.umd.edu/undergrad/foodScience/index.cfm|http://nfsc.umd.edu/undergrad/foodScience/index.cfm]\]. Currently, there is no Food Safety specific major at the University of Maryland. However, this program provides outstanding food safety training to students with a number of food safety, food microbiology, food quality, food processing, and epidemiology courses. In addition, undergraduates have excellent opportunities available to perform food safety research at multiple departments and colleges in the University of Maryland.
