Sophie Vandebroek is Xerox's chief technology officer and president of the Xerox Innovation Group. Prior to that, she served as chief technology officer at Carrier Corp. From 1991 until 2000, Vandebroek held a number of roles at Xerox, including , responsible for overseeing Xerox's research centers in Europe, Asia, Canada and US as well as the Palo Alto Research Center. Previously, Vandebroek was chief engineer of Xerox Corporation and vice president of the Xerox Engineering Center, technical advisor to Xerox's chief operating officer, and director of the Xerox Research Centre of Canada. She is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Belgian-American Educational Foundation and , as well as a Fulbright fellow. She has received awards from Xerox, IBM, HP, Monsanto, the Belgian National Science Foundation, Semiconductor Research Corporation, IEEE, and Cornell University.  Vandebroek served as a judge for MIT's Technology Review Young Innovators awards, the Wall Street Journal Innovation awards, and the FIRST LEGO and robotics competition regional awardsFellow. She holds 12 US patents. Vandebroek is a member of the board of directors of Analogic Corporation and Nypro Corporation and is a member of the US National Academies Committee on Science, Technology and Law. She is a trustee of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and serves on the engineering advisory council at MIT.
