Agua Para el Pueblo, a Honduran NGO, has been working in the development of water treatment projects since 1984. APP's mission is to support the initiatives and community efforts targeted towards improving living conditions through optimizing available hydraulic resources and strengthening the social and environmental conditions by facilitating auto-management and participation. APP uses water treatment as a dynamic axis to mitigate poverty level, alleviate human suffering, and collaborate to form a more equitable and sustainable society.

APP's partnership with AguaClara is one of several collaborations through which APP aims to research and develop alternatives to the current problem of potable water and treatment access among the most vulnerable areas of Honduras. APP also contributes to financial planning, infrastructure development, social integration, and basin protection for communities that demand water treatment solutions.
