I began the Spring 2011 semester as a team member on the Chemical Dose Controller and Linear Flow Orifice Meter (CDC/LFOM) team. Our group quickly began assembling a model chemical dosing system in our lab to begin experimentation. With Alongside team members Matthew Higgins and Andrew Hart, I will be researching the upper-flow limits of a hydraulic linear chemical dosing system. We will apply mathematical calculations to fabricate a design which we can then test to determine its functionality and practicality for installationMy goal for the semester is to generate a design that is based in mathematics and can implemented in future water treatment plants.
