!pipeframe 2.jpg!h1. Pipeframe Design Program
The pipeframe is used to support the plate settlers at a certain height. It consists of a grid of PVC pipes linked together by connectors.
...
The new design of the sedimentation tank requires the plate settlers to be a distance above the sedimentation bays. In order for the pipeframe to support the plate settlers the pipeframe will need to include a support system to heighten the pipeframe itself. Pipes will be embedded between the sedimentation bays with flanges placed on top of the pipe. With the flanges placed on top of the pipes the pipeframe will be able to rest on top of the flanges. Cement shelves are drawn on the sides of the sedimentation tank wall to further support the pipeframe. However due to changes in other parts of the sedimentation tank, mainly the width of the Sedimentation tank's bay dividers and the addition of elevated plate settlers, additional changes to the pipeframe need to be made. Because in the new design of the sedimentation tank, the plate settlers will be elevated above the sedimentation bay. Thus the pipeframes needs to be elevated above the sedimentation bay. A support system for the pipeframes must be designed to elevate the pipeframe above the sedimentation bays
The support system for the pipeframe has been designed however the stub arrangements and stub dimensions along the pipeframe still need to be figured out.
