List of Parameters

Create a list of the relevant parameters that affect the component you are studying. For example, if you were conducting an experiment investigating tube settler performance then some relevant parameters could include: tube settler length, capture velocity.

In our rapid mix experiment we plan to vary: * Alum Dosage (35 mg/L, 45 mg/L, 55 mg/L, 65 mg/L),

• Turbidity
• The Location of the alum addition (above water surface vs below water surface).

We hypothesize that as the alum dosage increases there will be an increase in the formation of the surface film when the alum is applied above the surface of the waterTry to understand how the parameters affect one another, i.e. if a parameter is dependent or independent of another parameter.

Experimental Design

Before writing experimental design, review past experiments by previous AguaClara teams. Then based upon these past experiments generate a list of experiments that your team would like to conduct.
