Spring 2009 Contribution

I have become familiar running and troubleshooting the Pilot Plant vertical flow hydraulic flocculator and worked on running the tube flocculator so that it can be used to collect data. I also helped the sed tank team create their goals and task lists for the semester. I coordinated the Pilot Plant team meetings and tried to keep both subsections of the the group on task. I have worked on the organization and composition of the sed tank and flocculation wiki pages on the pilot plant section. I worked on the team report uniform vs. tapered baffle configurations and the tube flocculator page Construction HistoryI am on the Chemical Doser Controller/ Rapid Mix Design Team this spring semester. I have worked on the MathCAD file to design the nonlinear Chemical Doser- more specifically looking at using a new flow controller and the dimensions of tubing components in this design. I have helped with the rapid mix design page- looking at the dimensions of the hydraulic jump based on K = 1.3 and the height of water in the channel.
